The pic here is a wedding gown made of glass that is on display at the Corning Ware factory. Went there quite a while back on my first US visit.
Was without the Net for 2 days back at PIL’s because SIL had terminated the Singnet account. I wasn’t aware of that for the 1st day, so there was nothing much I could do. On the 2nd day, I thought of connecting a wireless router to the Hubstation and it proved to be more challenging than I thought as I couldn’t get an IP assigned via DHCP.
Turned out that the solution was remarkably low-tech. I just had to turn the Hubstation off and on again to get it to work. Think there is some setting in the Hubstation that remembers the last MAC address that was connected to it. Wasted 3 to 4 hours of my time…
Thought of bringing my colleagues for a lo-hei treat as some of them have not experienced it before. Went to have salmon yu sheng at Sakae Sushi and it was quite good.
However, when it came to paying the bill, I was “snooked” because my colleagues decided to foot the bill instead since my birthday was just the day before…
I love pork ribs, and I normally have no problems polishing off a plate of them. Unfortunately, today on Oz Day 2009, I met my match.
Unc Nick brought FIL, Esh, 7th Aunt and myself to a club in Sydney. I ordered a rack of ribs, but what came was a rack of ribs from some mutant pig!. The ribs were stacked on top of a pile of potato wedges!
I finished off most of the ribs, save one. Quite a large pile of potato wedges was left behind though…
Just came back from a walk in the park with Uncle Nick. Apparently a walk in the park in Australia is no “walk in the park.”
Here I was, expecting things to be like MacRitchie Reservoir but in reality it was more like army training where we had to navigate through uneven terrain along rock strewn paths.
Managed to keep up (barely) with Uncle Nick and we managed to reach back home before dark. I wasn’t keen on being featured in an episode of “I shouldn’t be alive.”

Was supposed to have a meeting, but it got cancelled as some of the attendees couldn’t make it. Looks like its a good time to update the blog as well as catch up on some stuff since I’m online anyway…
Drinking a cup of Coke while doing work in office. Waiting for 11pm to come so that I can start my concall.
BTW, with reference to my previous post, I think my mobile phone is kaput…
Hopefully its due to a faulty battery and not a problem with the phone…
She’s running a fever now and we’ve given her medication. Thankfully she’s fallen asleep. Once she wakes up we’ll bring her to the doctor.
